Raw diets are the fastest growing sector of the pet food market. For years dry kibble and canned pet foods were the only choices on the market.  Over time raw food has become progressively more available. Every pet owner wants to care for and nurture their four-legged family member properly.  Feeding a healthy diet and maintaining a healthy weight for your dog or cat is key to raising a healthy pet. No matter what stage of life your pet is in, providing your dog or cat with a nutritious food is fundamental and can only help with the quality of life.

Because kibbles are cooked at extremely high temperatures (around 400°F) in order to acquire its shape and crispy texture, the bioavailability of essential amino acids is reduced, therefore, supplying less essential amino acids and other nutrients than what your pet requires to remain healthy.  Because of this, they need the addition of a dietary supplement in an attempt to eliminate such deficiencies. At the same time this heating process is used to cook kibbles, it also forms chemicals known as Heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). This happens when muscle meat, including beef, poultry, pork, or fish is cooked using  high-temperatures. In laboratory experiments, HCAs and PAHs have been found to cause changes in DNA that may increase the risk of cancer in our pets.
